The Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said that he planned to file a complaint with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell against the Atlanta Falcons coach and assistant.
Hall said that Falcons Coach Mike Smith cursed at him and Falcons director of athletic performance Jeff Fish and others “put their hands on me” during a sideline melee Sunday. The original cause was Hall’s teammate LaRon Landry’s hit on Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. Hall tried to pull Landry away from the Falcons’ sideline but was surrounded by Falcons players and staff members along with Landry.
Some other Redskins players also joined in the melee, but Hall became the focus because he was formerly a player wearing the Falcons jersey. He had talked all week of being bitter at the way he was treated when traded after playing in Atlanta for four years and made the Pro Bowl twice.
Hall said the tried to get away from Fish and others but Smith came over to him and talked expletive to him. He would take his complaints to the league.
