Johnson is listed as day to day this week as the team is preparing for the Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. According to Coach Gary Kubiak, Johnson will undergo several blood tests this week to make sure he is recovering properly. When the injury occurred in the second quarter of the win over the 49ers, it seemed not to be a serious injury as Johnson remained in the game after taking a hit in the lower back.
The injury began to cause concerns early in the fourth quarter when Johnson coughed up blood after landing on the ball following a 44-yard catch. Although he tried to continue playing with the team, the team had to hold him out and have medical staff escort him off the field during the last drive.
