Seahawks center Spencer felt lucky to be back quickly

Seattle center Chris Spencer has returned to practice after he sprained his left ankle last week. He went through drills on Wednesday afternoon and felt pretty well. Hopefully, he might be able to play on Saturday night when Seattle opens the exhibition season at San Diego.

Spencer told reporters that he felt very lucky to be back with team so quickly. He thought it was a scary moment when he got hurt and worried that he might miss more than just a handful of days. Fortunately, nothing serious and he is now playing on the field again.

Spencer was supposed to be starting center for the Seahawks. He left practice field last Friday on the back of a cart after he was caught up in a pile during a blocking drill.
