"What's wrong with asking? They (the Packers) can say no," Driver said. "I'm asking for it. If I get it, I get it. If I don't, I don't. It's no big deal."

Driver has been working for the Packers since he became NFL player 11 years ago. He is scheduled to make $3.9 million in base salary this season and $4 million in base salary in 2010 under his current deal. And there are also a $2 million roster bonus for this year and a roster bonus of $2.8 million in 2010. Some of the roster bonus will be paid only when Driver is on the Packers' 45-man game-day roster each week.

Driver denied his unhappiness about contract issue. He just confirmed that he does want a restructured contract, but will still be happy with the team if not approved.
